On Tuesday 16th Febuary the Kent club's Battle of the PDI's competitionwas hosted. An amazing 65 images from 13 clubs were judged by Kirsty Ralfs ARPS QGP. A very exciting evening, with Sevenoaks CC retaining the cup for yet another year! The club scores were out of 100 points maximum. The image scores were out of 20 maximum.
The KCPA Diamond Jubilee was held on Saturday 19th Febuary and I’m afraid that, following hot on the heels of our disappointing result in the Malling Battle, we didn’t fare any better in this competition.
Parkwood CC came 31st out of the 35 clubs from Kent who took part.
A brief recap on the two competitions:
The Malling Battle (organised by Malling Camera Club) required Parkwood to submit 5 image entries and pitted us against 12 other clubs ‘local’ to Malling Camera Club. The Diamond Jubilee (organised by the KCPA) required us to submit 8 image entries and pitted us against 34 clubs from around Kent. Our entries were picked by the selection committee (Roger, Nick, Paul and Henry) from a selection of images that have scored well in club competitions.
