This is both an apt and striking image for this time of year. I am led to wondering if this is a straight snap of a public artwork or whether it is a composite of images taken by the entrant.. It is certainly very striking and each figure adds something different to the shot. |

There is no doubt that the golden glow adds a great deal to this image. Although difficult to do in the circumstances but the sun is very burnt out and I wonder if this could have been taken with the sun actually behind the building? I think I may have tried darkening the corrugated effect wall on the left. Otherwise this was nicely seen. |

This has been extremely well observed. The shapes and lines in the river work very well to create a different image. I am a little concerned that the horizon is a little lopsided and to be honest I think I would have cropped this down to just include the excellent river detail. |

The lighting and monochrome treatment here have worked together excellently to create a highly detailed and quality image of Arnold. I feel his character has been well caught and the hat is a great addition. There is a white halo which hints at a little oversharpening but this is a minor point in this great portrait. |

This building in isolation would be difficult to photograph pictorially but here the photographer has been very careful and added foreground detail that also fills the spaces either side of the tower. The topping is the fantastic sky detail which has tones throughout with any burnt out areas. Very good indeed. |

The arches here are a great tool for dragging us through the image to the subject. It is a slight shame that the outside detail is a little bright and takes our attention. Nevertheless this is a nicely constructed composition. |

This is a very nice sunset shot. The different sized palms work really well. The horizon is very central and I think I may have tried the shot from a lower angle with the sun below the branches. I cannot fault the exposure though and it is nice to see such an image now that we are approaching winter. |

For those of us of a certain age this invokes memories of trips to London a good few years ago. The picture tells a real story but what makes it are the birds that have been captured in flight. Very good. |

The title of this tells the whole story. The photographer has captured the remoteness from us of this couple who indeed only have eyes for each other. The hat is very bold in colour but I think it works well. The shirt is very bright and burnt out in places which is a shame but overal I like this. |

This is a very nice portrait of Jasmine. I like the interaction with the viewer and the overal quality of the image is high although I think the contrast and lighting is a tad harsh and I may have softened it slightly. The pose and position of the hand is very good. |
