Leeds Castle in the Trees

When visiting well known locations it can be very tempting to take the "classic view" which is fine but I always recommend looking for something different which is what we have here. This is a viewpoint I've not seen before and it works quite well. The castle looks great in this lighting. The sky is a bit distracting and I may have cropped it but otherwise this is a fine image.

A Stream at Leeds Castle

Again this is a different view of Leeds Castle. The composition is good although I might have cropped it at the weir. The image is contrasty which has resulted in the highlights being burnt out which is a shame. If the detail is on the RAW file I would lower the contrast and darken down the highlights which should produce another unique and different view of Leeds Castle.

Tree Surgeon

SM

Wow, this looks ike a brave man! Not only is he up a tree but he is also wielding a potentially dangerous implement. I wonder if it would be possible to emphasise the perceived jeopardy by somehow accentuating the tree surgeons height above the ground? The branches and ropes could be seen as a distraction but the bright helmet saves the day which is nicely placed in the frame.

Greek Goddess

Beautifully lit with a fine pose that fills the frame. The quality of the image says it all.

Balance

This is another extremely fine portrait. The pose is great but it is the addition of the bodystocking that adds another dimension. I was initially concerned that the dark background would swallow some of the outline detail but the lighting and exposure has been expertly managed to avoid any loss. Excellent.

Elegance

This is another nude study and like the others it is beautifully lit with a wealth of detail and an interesting pose. The other similar images in this collection do have a tad more contrast and the dark backgrounds work slightly better than this one to my eyes but nevertheless it a great quality image.

Standing Tall

3rd

First of all I do like the title here which is complemented by the image itself and the perceived elevated stature of the model herself. Again the lighting is excellent and the backdrop complements the image well. My only concern is that the figure being tall and slim looks a little lost in the image space. Obviously this is because of the base of the material which cannot be cropped although I think a smidge off each side does work for me. Another top quality figure study.

Pouncing Puma

SM

The panning technique exhibitied here is excellent with sharpness in the vehicle itself and nicely blurred wheels and surroundings. The obvious downside is the distracting background which if this was cropped down to a letterbox could have been eliminated. A letterbox could also accentuate the sense of speed. top marks for the panning and the placement of the car in the image space.

Harris Hawk Snack Landing

Well done on the timing and capturing the bird in a great pose. The intent in those sharp eyes is great. Similar to the car image the distracting background is a problem here. This could not be avoided at the taking stage but in post production some judicious darkening could have reduced the highlight distractions. I cannot fault your timing as previously mentioned. Well done.
