A nicely composed still life with nice quality and detail throughout. The lighting is especially good on the glass although we are losing the tops of the bottles. Otherwise very well done. |

An interesting subject. There are some rich textures here and the dollop of custard adds a nice contrast. Overal I think the image is a little too dark and just half a stop would have brightened it nicely but still retain the dark textures. |

There is a good story here of the old and the new. The foreground ship gives a nice sense of depth. Focussing is a little out as the close foreground is out of focus. Using a smaller aperture or using the 'hyperfocal' technique would have created a deeper depth of field. This looks like a great location and I imagine there is scope for many images in this area. |

This was taken in some good conditions with soft bright light and good cloud detail. Again depth of focus is very narrow. Focussing on the yacht is a good idea as it captures our eye but it really needs to be larger in the frame. Nevertheless this is an excellent location to return to again and again. |

This is a good monochrome image rich in tones. Lighting is contrasty but it has been well handled with just a few unavoidable burnt out areas. The lone figure is also very well placed. The arrangement of the uneven structure is nicely done. Very good. |

This could be regarded as a record shot or a pictorial shot. The ball is nicely rendered as its appearance tells its story of the match. Having the out of focus though easily recogniseable rugby players and goal posts in the background work well. Personally I may have filled the frame even more with the ball and had the goal posts more off centre to avoid the effect of them growing out of the ball. |

This is a nicely captured image. The white tones are well rendered and the moisture is the crowning glory. Initially I was a little concerned about the out of focus flower but this strengthens our gaze on the sharper flower. The background has some subtle but natural looking details which give the impression this was taken on location which is an extra plus for me. |

The skeletal tree silhouettes wuth their masses of detail contrast well with the excellent sunset tones. Even the shape of the clouds appears to mirror the tree shapes. Cropping the trees halfway down their trunks does unbalance the image a tad but otherwise this is a fine sunset with a difference. |

The relatively high ISO and the grain give a pleasing slightly muted feel to this. The dynamic composition across the image is good and there is great detail in the sharp areas. Unfortunately the depth of focus is very shallow for a natural history style image. Greater lighting would have helped to allow a smaller aperture or perhaps moving away could have provided a greater depth. Be careful of using stylistic borders as they can detract from the image in some circumstances but otherwise this is a good attempt. |

An interesting extra dimension by including the movement is good and I like the dynamic composition. I still think it needs some sky detail or colour to work completely but well done on doing something different. |

It is encouraging to see someone trying something different. The study of the crocus plants themselves is good with a spot on point of focus. The bright patch across the sky is a distraction that I would have removed but I do like the lower portion of the image. |

This art installation is very impressive and well done on looking for a less than obvious composition. The light fittings work really well apart from the ones that are unfortunately cropped at the bottom. The Moon detail is excellent with great exposure and focussing. |

I imagine anyone unfamiliar with this art installation would think this was a composite image especially with the mixed lighting. I like the arrangement with carefully observed positioning of the Moon and the figures give a sense of scale although they are cut in half. A striking image. |

There is a great deal going for this image. The lighting and dynamic composition work well and the surfers themselves are nicely rendered. The wave spray with the rainbow is excellent too. The only recommendation I could give would be a tighter crop to exclude the rocks. For me this would tighten the composition even more and enhance the title more. Well seen and well captured. |

The overcast conditions have worked well here in capturing all the tones and enhancing the 'wet look' to the stonework. The foreground detail is good but this composition has created a large featureless sky. I would suggest moving to the left to fill the foreground with the fishing items and lesson the sky area. It is a nice quality image from a phone though. |

This picture tells the story of the Moon art installation well. We can see the artwork itself, its location and the interpretation board and some human interest as well. The image has been straightened on the left but converges on the right which gives a feeling of it falling to the left. I may have corrected this in post production. This image would work well as part of an AV about this welcome visitor to Rochester. |

The central part of this image is a good composition with the lower petal inviting us in for a closer look. The interior of the flower is very interesting with good colours and shapes. Depth of field is small unfortunately and I would have cropped the surrounding petals. It was still a good idea to move in close. |

I am intrigued by the colours here as I did not realise a yew would display these. There is a great deal going on in this image and much of it is unfortunately out of focus. I would have concentrated on small portions as I can see many compositions in here. This yew tree is a great subject and I would certainly revisit this. |

The chosen shutter speed has frozen the movement and given us great detail in the horse and riders. The image does feel a little static and I wonder if a tighter crop to remove the white post on the right and some of the sky could have increased the dynamism of it. I think there is a colour cast, slight yellow maybe that could be corrected to strengthen the colours. No faulting the quality captured in the horse and rider though. |

The fort providesd a great 'zing' point for our eyes to rest on here as it is nicely placed. The sky is certainly moody and grainy indicating that it has possibly been enhanced. I would have been tempted to go further and darken the darker tones even more making it exta moody and also cropping out the large bright expanse. Monochrome was a good choice here. |

This is a wonderful tree study. The branches resemble arms from a Tolkein type scenario. The detail is very well rendered. (I resisted the urge to say tremendous there!). The title is a little misleading as the green moss is a small part of the image although its inclusion adds a great extra colour to the image. |

The photographer here as worked really hard to ensure that this image is as balanced as possible within the limitations of the building layout. It really is very well lined up and any discrepancies are mostly due to factors outside of the photographers control. The converging verticals work well as do the lighting rigs. The exposure range is also very well controlled with details in the shadows and highlights. |

Without prior knowledge of this artwork this could easily be a composite image. The Moon detail is excellently captured. The background does suffer from problems often encountered in buildings such as this with uneven lighting. There are burnt out highlights in the walls and stained glass window. In this situation it can be a good idea to bracket exposures. The Moon artwork has featured in a number of images in this competition but well done on finding a different viewpoint from the others. |

I must congratulate the photographer on trying something very creative here. The image is a little too overexposed for me but I would try entering it into a creative or abstract competition. |

This is a very high quality portrait. There is direct eye to eye contact with the viewer with the models eyes completely level. The lighting which is clearly seen in the eyes is extremely even and shadowless. The detail throughout is very high. The pose feels very straightforward to me but others should view this as a standard to achieve or certainly work towards. Very nice. |

This is not certainly part of Regents Park recognisable to me so well done to the photographer for searching out something different. In these images it is often interesting viewing the movement of the water against the staic objects. The overcast lighting has retained all the tones which can often be lost in this type of image, especially the highlights. I find my eye travels around and around the image as it lacks a 'zing' point but strangely this does not detract from it.. |

Wow, I can honestly say I have never seen Battersea like this. The photographer has taken the image at the correct time to retain colour in the sky. Obviously there will be movement in the waterincluding objects floating in it but this works well here. I may have toned down the blue sky a tad and cropped the image a bit tighter but this is othertwise a great image and shows night photography how I like it. |

The action of the players is well caught here. Although not sharp there is a real sense of being part of the game. Unfortunately the background figures and especially the blue rope are intrusive. I may have tried a white vignette here around the players. The photorgaher has a good eye for action and timing. |
